Giving Back to Riders and the Environment on Bike to Work Day

facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinby featherAnnually, Colorado celebrates Bike to Work Day on the 4th Wednesday of June each year. This year, Snack Out Loud was all over Colorado giving high fives and Crunchy Bean Snacks to riders who pledged to get to work on two wheels instead of four. More than 20,000 people registered for Bike to Work Day this year – a HUGE success in our commuter-friendly state.

Bike to Work Day means a lot to our team at Snack Out Loud because in addition to providing Crunchy Bean Snacks that are nutritious and delicious, it’s also important to us that we are environmentally responsible. In fact, that’s why we make sure we have a low carbon footprint by sourcing our beans from local farms, and our roasting plant is 100% wind powered through the purchase of wind power credits.

On Bike to Work Day this year, you could find us at various locations, including:
Ideal Market (Boulder) – Our Bean Team provided Crunchy Bean Snacks to hundreds of riders on their way to work during the store’s annual Bike to Work Day breakfast.
Whole Foods Market (Cherry Creek North) – Our Bean Team provided Crunchy Bean Snacks to hundreds of riders on their way to work during the store’s annual Bike to Work Day breakfast.
• Bike Denver and Elevation Cycles Denver’s After Hours – We celebrated a successful Bike to Work Day post-work at this After Hours event that gave bicycle commuters the chance to unwind with some local music, brews from New Belgium and some delicious Crunchy Bean Snacks.
